Brazil Perspective

This last summer I had the pleasure of spending 6 weeks in Brazil. Despite all the worries some had of me traveling alone to this country, it turned out to be a wonderful, problem-free trip. I spent most of my time in an area known as Itaipu, which is in a peninsula across from Rio de Janeiro. I did end up spending some time in the city of Rio, but it was also nice being able to look at it from afar. Both of these views look out towards Rio, and you're even able to see the infamous Christ Redeemer from these points. One thing that I loved from the views in Brazil were the soft curves of the mountains and islands that hugged the edge of the land. I would definitely recommend Rio to anyone who loves good beaches, beautiful views, and fresh acai! ~Lauren Diaz, Traveler Staff
