Co-Manager - Pacifica

We are seeking a second Manager to help lead our busy Flagship location in Pacifica. 

The Manager is a key leadership role and will work alongside another Manager to maintain a smooth running store, surf club, and achieve goals set out by the owners. 

This position includes extensive customer service and additional responsibilities include:
  • Overseeing all staff in running a smooth store with excellent customer service
  • Retail sales, sharing product knowledge with customers, lead by example
  • Managing customer returns, exchanges and daily curve balls
  • Training new staff members 
  • Providing tours of the Surf Club, selling memberships and onboarding new members 
  • Explain our surf lesson program surf, rent surfboards and wetsuits
  • Being an ambassador for Traveler in and out of the water

  • INVENTORY FOCUS
    Stock Room & Inventory Management

  • Be an expert at "Box to Floor" and help guide Sales Associates in receiving inventory
  • Maintain correct inventory in Shopify using cycle counting methods 
  • Process “Transfers” to/from other Traveler locations
  • Update and organize Pacifica Inventory using Trello software. 
  • Restock and train Sales Associates on best practices for re-stocking
  • Manage customer requests when appropriate items come back in stock 
  • Run monthly sales reports based on inventory sold, top vendors etc.
  • Enter new inventory into Shopify
  • Organize, maintain, and train staff in back stock room
  • Maintain shop supplies check-list and re-order as needed 
Merchandising 
  • Merchandise strategy for Pacifica
  • Ensure all staff knows where a new shipment will go and how to merchandise it on the sales floor
  • Maintain a clean, organized, easy to shop sales floor 
  • Ensure mannequins are changed weekly 
Online Store
  • Online order fulfillment including packing up online orders and associated customer service related to all things online store. 
    Skills and Qualifications
    • 3+ years management experience in retail, hospitality, restaurant management, or membership services industry
    • Surf knowledge is a must
    • Ability to engage customers & establish a welcoming environment
    • Keen attention to detail
    • Excellent communication skills
    • A strong, genuine desire to grow and share the Traveler brand
    • Proficient on Slack, Google Docs, and Shopify
