We recently took a day trip to explore Pinnacles National Park. Pinnacles is about a 2.5 hour drive south of Pacifica.
Background: 23 million years ago volcanoes erupted and formed Pinnacles National Park.

Visitors can take a loop trail and venture through talus caves, the pinnacles, and canyon bottoms. Don't forget your flashlight!
