Have you wanted to try surfing but don't know where to start? Our beginner lessons are a great place to begin. At Traveler Surf Club, our goal for beginner surf lessons is to get you acclimated with the ocean's ever changing conditions and help you gain the confidence to paddle for and catch your own waves. We welcome first time surfers to advanced beginners with this lesson offering.
Beginner Surfer Definition: "A beginner is a surfer who is yet to successfully paddle out alone and catch and ride a wave cleanly to its logical finish." -Surfline's Nick Carrol
Duration: We offer a two hour lesson which starts on land, going over everything from popping-up, paddling techniques, to proper etiquette when you are sharing the water with fellow surfers. Beginner lessons spend 15-30 minutes suiting up, talking and walking to the waves with their coach and spend 1-1.5 hours in the water.
