How does it work?
1. Choose from the drop-down menu your preferred board and start date of the Week Long Package. Make sure to select the $500 refundable ding deposit and sign the digital waiver.
2. After you purchase, we'll have your name/appointment on file and your board will be ready for you on that day!
3. Go surf and be happy. Enjoy Club amenities and return your board by closing time on the final day of your rental window.
Can I show up and reserve a board on the spot? Or, do I need to pre book?
You can show up and if we have your desired board available, yes, you can reserve a board on the spot! But, if you want a specific board to be available for your travel dates, it's best to reserve ahead of time.
I'm going on a road trip... how far can I take the board?
There are so many great surf spots in and around Santa Cruz as well as the greater Central Coast. You can check out a board and travel by land as long as you have a safe way to transport the board and a secure way to store the board overnight. If you need additional tools to help with your travel needs feel free to reach out with your specific travel needs. Boards are not permitted for air travel at this time.
Are wetsuit available for this rental option?
For an additional fee of $90 a wetsuit can be added to your rental package.
What is the price breakdown for this service?
Cost breakdown: $360 + $500 (refundable deposit), for a 7 day rental period beginning the first day of the reservation. A typical overnight fiberglass board rental is $60 + $20 overnight fee per day. With this rental package you are paying for 6 days of rental fees, the remaining seventh day and standard $20 overnight fee/day is on us! Payment up-front is required along with a signed waiver and a refundable trip deposit of $500. A fin, leash, board bag, and fresh wax job will be included. Contact us for special pricing if you want to rent/demo a board for a different window of time.
What happens if I ding the board?
Dings happen, we know! Treat boards with care and if there is a smash-up in the water, we will assess the damage and charge you $40-$250 depending on the severity of damage. If a board is damaged beyond typical overuse, a $400 'big damages fee' may be charged to cover the extent of repairs. We do ask for a $500 (refundable) ding deposit to be taken at time of check-out. If all looks good when the board is returned, you'll get that $500 back same day. Lost or damaged fin equals an $80 fee. If the board is totaled or damaged beyond repair you will be charged up to $500. If the board is lost or stolen, you will be charged $800.
