We offer a limited number of surfboard and wetsuit rentals at our Linda Mar Beach, Pacifica location.
How it Works: There are 2 Ways to Rent Equipment
1. First Come, First Served - Simply show up during business hours and get your rental. You will be required to sign the waiver below and will be given a tour of the Surf Club along with proper gear sizing by our staff.
2. Save Time - Pre-book your rental(s) the day before and electronically sign the waiver below. Check-in at the front register and have your order number ready. Our staff will ensure you get the proper equipment and a quick tour of the Surf Club.

We do have a small selection of rental booties for an additional $5, please ask staff when checking in.
How long can I keep my equipment?
All equipment rentals are good for the entire day (from open until half hour before closing time) and a Day Pass is included for our Surf Club, so you can rinse off, change, store your things in a secure locker and more. See below for overnight options.
Can I rent without getting the Day Pass?
Our Surf Club amenities is what makes renting from Traveler a truly special and unique experience. You'll not only enjoy yourself in the waves, but each step of the experience from getting changed in privacy, to a hot outdoor shower upon return, to sitting on our heated bench post-surf session is part of our service that you won't find anywhere else. All rental pricing includes the Day Pass, but our Surf Club Members do receive discounted pricing. Interested in joining?
I'm an intermediate-advanced surfer and want a nicer board, do you rent fiberglass?
Yes, fiberglass boards require an additional refundable ding deposit and are reserved for intermediate/advanced surfers.
Can I show up and demo a board on the spot? Or, do I need to reserve ahead of time?
You can show up and if we have your desired board available, yes, you can demo a board on the spot! But, if you want a specific board to be available for your travel dates, it's best to reserve ahead of time.
Can I check out the board overnight or bring it back after sunset?
All boards are due back before the Surf Club closes (hours depend on season), but we do have an overnight option for an additional $20 per day, plus a $500 deposit. If you'd like this option, just let us know when you pick up your board and we'll make arrangements.
I'm going on a road trip... can I check out the board for a few days?
There are so many great surf spots around LA. Yes, you can check out a board for multiple days. Prices are $60/day + the $20 overnight fee= $80/day. But after the 3rd night, we waive the $20 fee. For example, if you're renting for 4 days and 3 nights, it is just $60/day.
Payment up-front is required along with a refundable trip deposit of $500. A board bag and leash will be included.
What happens if I ding the board?
Dings happen—we know! Our goal is to keep our boards in great shape so they can be enjoyed by the next surfer.

$100 Ding Deposit: A $100 damage deposit is collected at checkout. When you return the board, we’ll inspect it for damage. If everything looks good, your $100 deposit will be refunded the same day.

Dings & Repairs: If the board is damaged during your rental, we’ll assess the damage when it’s returned. Depending on the severity of the ding or damage, repair charges of $50-$250 may apply.

Significant Damage: If a board is damaged beyond normal wear and tear and requires extensive repairs, a $400 significant-damage fee may apply. All dings and damage requiring repair will be assessed by our professional ding repair team (outside of Traveler). Once the damage has been assessed, we’ll notify you by email of the final repair cost and refund any remaining balance of your deposit, if applicable.

Lost or Damaged Fins: will be charged the retail price of a replacement fin.

Total Loss: If a board is lost, stolen, totaled, or damaged beyond repair, you may be charged up to the full replacement retail cost of the board. Current retail values of boards in our quiver range from approximately $600-$1,500.
By renting a board from Traveler, you agree to these rental and damage terms.
